Due Diligence Questionnaire for Potential Private Sector Partners
Summary
Developed by the UN Global Compact Office with input from UN system private sector focal points. The questionnaire can be used by UN entities as part of the process of considering whether a particular company would be an appropriate partner for the UN.
This tool has been developed by the UN Global Compact Office with input from private sector focal points across the UN System. The intention of creating the questionnaire is that it could be given to potential private sector partners to complete as part of the process of considering whether the entity would be an appropriate partner for the UN. It may be particularly useful where other sources of information about the entity are not available, such as when the entity is not listed in the databases of due diligence service providers in use by the UN entity concerned. The questionnaire may be revised from time to time in line with changes in information being sought by UN entities.
The questionnaire is designed to be comprehensive, to assist UN entities to identify and consider a full range of potential issues and risks. It may be that the UN entity does not consider it necessary for a potential partner to fully complete every section of the questionnaire; however, the matters raised in the questionnaire could be used as the basis of a discussion between the UN entity and the company in relation to potential issues or risks.
