Global Sanitation Fund

The Global Sanitation Fund, launched in 2008, is an innovative financing mechanism that supports national sanitation and hygiene programmes. The Global Sanitation Fund is looking for financial support to help large numbers of poor people to attain safe sanitation services and adopt good hygiene practices. The fund’s approach is people-centred and demand-led which means it works with a full range of stakeholders in country to develop local, targeted sanitation programmes.
