Canopy Walkway & Zip-line – A new Tourist Attraction at Phou Khao Khouay (Lao PDR)
This project, implemented in collaboration with a tour operator in Lao PDR, aims to add a new tourist destination in the country side that attracts tourists to a forest reserve for recreation, but also for nature experience and appreciation. Local villagers will have their due share in planning and implementation. Villagers will be hired and trained and new opportunities for setting up own small businesses offered – thus contributing to better income. It is expected that other tourist facilities in the area will be strengthened as well as a step in developing economically an area with otherwise limited future prospects.
