Unilever staff in Pakistan fund UN programme with new payroll scheme

600 staff of Unilever in Pakistan are donating a percentage of their pay to help combat hunger in rural areas.
This is a joint venture between the World Food Programme and Unilever in Pakistan. 600 employees have agreed to donate a percentage of their pay totalling 2.5m Pakistan rupees annually. The money will go to 3000 WFP-assisted girls’ primary schools in rural areas.
